Join us for a day full of fun at The Devon to celebrate Independence Day. We have several great events lined up for you to know about:

TEAMED FOR DEFENSE PRESENTED BY AMEREN

10 a.m.-3:00 p.m. – FREE, no ticket required

Celebrate our heroes with Teamed for Defense presented by Ameren. Beginning at 10 a.m., the public can check out vehicles and from first responders with the Police Department, Macon County Sheriff, Fire Department and more while meeting the men and women in the line of duty too. You can also check out a Black Hawk helicopter from the Illinois National Guard behind the stage. At 11 a.m. we invite you into The Devon to enjoy a ceremony to honor our heroes with a special honoree. Following the ceremony, Pizzazz will play until 2:30 p.m.

B.O.S.S. AND B.O.S.S JR. PREVIEW

4:45-5:30 p.m. – FREE

Join us for a special performance from the kids of the Decatur Park District’s B.O.S.S. and B.O.S.S. Jr. programs. They will be previewing exerts from Aladdin Kids and Mary Poppins Jr.

RED CARPET RIOT PRESENTED BY DECATUR EARTHMOVER CREDIT UNION

6-9 p.m. – FREE, ticket required and all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

Celebrate your freedom with the sounds of Red Carpet Riot, one of the hottest new bands from Chicago. They will entertain you with rock and pop hits and many fan favorites from the 80’s-Now. Fireworks will fire off over Lake Decatur following the performance.

FOOD TRUCKS

We invite you to check out delicious items from our food trucks on site for the 4th of July. Notorious P.I.G. BBQ, Allen’s Concessions, Pig Out Concessions and Mister Softee will be there and will begin serving as early as 11 a.m.
